Every beginning of the year is a real ordeal for working people, the prices of commodities are overflowing and the rising cost of living exceeds the increase for minimum wage decreed. This situation results in an imbalance in the family economy because the money loses purchasing power compared to the previous year and it becomes harder to meet the daily needs.
NEW YEAR
Three days just go
of happy new year;
already boarded the bread,
the chocolate and egg.
A sugar cane, to flour,
to potatoes and watermelons;
to'los days.
A milk and rice,
to vegetables, cheese,
What famine, by God!
we hast'el neck.
At lease and passages,
taxes, pensions,
to threads, lace,
shirts and pants.
The Phone and light,
to agüita pa'tomar;
to
bus tickets and gas for cooking
to the books and notebooks, pencils
colors
Pa'Los hell Go away!
robbers game.
never ending story
up prices, rising;
have to go to market
mounted on a cloud.
New year, new life,
storm rises and laws;
rain will hopefully not the most holy
Reyes.
